At Leas, we usually see welding as a precise and rigorous technique, essential for industrial automation. But what happens when a welder combines technical expertise, artistic passion, and sustainability? Extraordinary creations emerge, like those crafted by our colleague Giacomo Zilio.
From Profession to Creative Passion
Giacomo has been working with us for over three years. Every day, he focuses on welding metals to build efficient and reliable systems. However, outside working hours, his skill takes a different, surprising direction. Giacomo collects reclaimed materials and breathes new life into them, transforming them into unique design pieces: lamps with industrial charm, original barbecues, and sculptures that catch the eye and spark curiosity.
Creativity and Sustainability
Giacomo’s art isn't merely creativity for its own sake. It’s a powerful message about sustainability and the importance of reuse. By using second-hand materials, Giacomo shows how every seemingly discarded object can be reborn with a new form and function.
The Importance of Passion
In our interview with Giacomo, it clearly emerged how passion is essential for turning a job into something deeper. "I don't just see a piece of iron," Giacomo says, "but potential waiting to be expressed."
